DJ LEX

DJ Lex is een Amerikaanse expat die sinds 2019 in Nederland woont. In de late jaren 90 Hij werd fan van elektronische muziek toen hij live DJ'ing voor het eerst ervaarde in Kopenhagen. Toen hij terugkeerde naar de VS kocht hij meteen zijn eerste mixer, twee draaitafels en een cd-speler. Sindsdien houdt hij zich bezig met elektronische dansmuziek en is DJ'en zijn grootste passie. Lex bouwt de energie langzaam op over meerdere uren door texturen van dreamscape en epische trance; house smaken van tribal, funk, glitter disco en diepe, dreunende baslijnen; industriële, donkere geluiden van techno; pittige ritmes van break beat; trippy, gesyncopeerde ritmes van drum'n'bass; en verleidelijke, zwoele, mooie vocalen.

DJ Lex is an American expat who’s been living in The Netherlands since 2019. He became a fan of electronic music in the late 90s, experienced live DJ’ing for a crowd in Copenhagen in the early 2000s and when he returned home to the U.S. he bought his first mixer, two turntables, and a CD player. Since then, he’s pursued quality electronic dance music and has ranked DJ’ing as one of his biggest enjoyments. His philosophy is to slowly build up the energy over several hours through one, some, or all the textures of dreamscape and epic trance; house flavors of tribal, funk, glitterball disco and deep, thudding bass lines; industrial, dark sounds of techno; punchy rhythms of break beat; trippy, syncopated rhythms of drum'n'bass; and seductive, sultry, beautiful vocals. Through the layering of styles and energy the crowd is taken on a journey through large and intimate expanses of sound, vocals, style.
